Kukere crooner, Iyanya and manager Ubi Franklin are currently having a rather sad issue to sort out with Police in Port Harcourt over non appearance after collecting N1.7
Opa Williams, the organizer of "Night Of A thousand Laughter" was said to have paid Iyanya the said money in order to perform at the show billed for Port Harcourt and Benin but were no where to be found during the show, necessitating him to report the matter to the police.
Franklin, Iyanya's manager confirmed the incident and gave the reasons for the non appearance of his client to the shows;
"Yes I was at the Police Station this morning, we have decided to return all money paid to us, it’s not a problem.
“We were paid to attend and perform at the Benin and Port Harcourt shows but we missed both due to reasons beyond our control. We missed the Benin gig because we were in Ghana as at that time and we arrived pretty late for the PH gig. We however had issues with initial payment from the show organizers also.
