I brought you a report concerning the Egyptian referee who awarded a rather dubious and controversial penalty to the chipolopolo of Zambia in the second Group C game against Nigeria, well reports emanating from CAF now has it that the referee has been told to go home.
Confirming this latest and i must say good development, a to CAF official said and i quote 'he has been sent home. He will have no further action at this Cup of Nations. His decisions did not tally with best practices of the refereeing profession and we would not allow anyone to start re-writing the rules of the game here'
